Please note, if you are an artist interested in submitting artwork or photography for the art show, the deadline is Monday September 28th. You can find more details and the prospectus here.
The celebration will be open from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm on Saturday and Noon until 4:00 pm on Sunday. Admission is free to all. Highlights will include:
- Our premier, juried, Great Swamp-themed Art Show and sale
- Children’s Art Show, including the High School Dunlop competition
- Master Falconer James Eyring’s “Birds of Prey” show on both days
- Live swamp animals including raptors, a snake, turtle, and bugs in mud!
- Local artisans with arts and crafts for sale, including pottery, silk and woven scarves, cards, and matted photos
- Game Pack booklet and “Passport to Fun” for children
- Hands-on watershed demonstration table
- Macro-invertebrate display (insects, worms, crayfish)
- Live Animals
- Crafting for kids including clay animal sculpting table, origami, and butterfly coloring
- Games for kids
- Exhibits on trees, gardening with native plants, insects, and microplastics
- FrOGS hats, t-shirts and coloring books
- Kayak Raffle drawing and other prizes presentation on Sunday afternoon 2pm
