Friends of the Great Swamp encourages our members and volunteers to participate in many ways. We’re a very inclusive group and love to see people sharing their skills and talents. One of the ways we encourage participation is through photography of the Great Swamp.
Whether you’re a solo photographer taking pictures for your own enjoyment or you’re an avid instagrammer, there’s so much to see and photograph in the Great Swamp.
If you want to share your images with us, feel free to tag us on Instagram with the hashtags #FROGSNY #GREATSWAMPNY and we may repost on our Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, and/or Facebook with credit to you. We do not provide compensation for photos and there is no guarantee that we will re-post. But when we see images that fit with our mission, we are happy to re-post immediately or at some time in the future. If you provide us a link to your website, we will share your link when appropriate.
If you’d like to see your photos or videos used on our website, contact us directly. Let us know any details concerning your copyright or attribution requests. Because we may use your photo in places where attribution is not appropriate or would be obtrusive, there is no guarantee of attribution other than a link from our website to your website. For your protection and ours, please ensure that all images you share with us are owned solely by you and that you own the copyright. By giving us permission to use the select photography you choose, you are granting us the right to reproduce and disseminate the select photos on our website, on printed materials, in digital marketing, event marketing, and in broadcast — at no charge. Photos shared with us will not be reproduced for commercial re-sale.
We’d like to thank the photographers who generously provided images for our website, including:
